Photos: College golf's most scenic stop delivers at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic

The second event of the Golfweek Collegiate Series is in the books, and it’s without a doubt the most picturesque on the schedule.

The Golfweek Red Sky Classic wrapped up Sept. 23 at Red Sky Golf Club’s Fazio Course in Wolcott, Colorado, and it was a historic week on many fronts. USC won the tournament for the second straight season, setting a tournament scoring record the second straight year as well. Individually, Miami sophomore Scarlett Schremmer won her second tournament of the season and set a tournament scoring record by four shots.

The Red Sky Classic is the highest-elevation tournament in college golf, too, with the Fazio Course reaching 8,000 feet at its height with nearly 1,000 feet of elevation change between the highest and lowest points on the course.

That makes it a photogenic scene every fall in the Rocky Mountains, and some of the pictures from the event are well worth looking at.
