Tom Kim has endured a tough spell over the past couple of years, but he has played some solid golf at the RBC Canadian Open this week.
Huge things were expected of Kim after he won three times on the PGA Tour before his 22nd birthday.

However, the 23-year-old has regressed badly over the past 18-24 months.
Tom Kim has just four top-10 finishes to his name on the PGA Tour since the start of the 2024 season, and he is without a win since October 2023.

Kim is said to be working incredibly hard on his game behind the scenes in order to rediscover his very best form.
He is still a very popular player, and many of his peers are pulling for him to do well.
However, Kim does have one big issue that he needs to address moving forward, and it has absolutely nothing to do with his golf swing.
PGA Tour must change rule after Tom Kim’s behavior at the Canadian Open
Kim came under fire midway through his third round at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley on Saturday afternoon.

The 23-year-old was going along nicely on day three and was two-under par after nine holes.
However, after hitting his second shot to 16 feet on the 10th, he received some serious criticism.
On-course commentator and two-time PGA Tour winner, Matt Every, ripped into the South Korean for his slow play.

Every was asked what he thought of the AimPoint system after Kim took an age to hit his birdie putt.
“You guys are trying to trigger me. It’s way too early,“ Every said.
“I was in a good mood when I came out here too.
“This is rough. I mean, what are we doing? I took a peek from behind, it doesn’t look like there is anything in it.

“Commissioner for one day, that’s all I’m asking. It would be the first thing out of here (AimPoint).“
Every has absolutely nailed that.
Those who defend AimPoint suggest that the method doesn’t slow play down.
However, that simply isn’t true, at least a lot of the time it’s not.
Brian Harman once made a great point about AimPoint
Back in December, Brian Harman highlighted how, in his opinion, the AimPoint method is flawed.
“I always joke with the guys that do the AimPoint,“ Harman said.
“They’re like, ‘you can’t trust your eyes’. I’m like, ‘well how do you know where to stand’?
“You see it first right, like you look with your eyes, you already know what the putt is doing. You’re just using your feet to get it all straight in your head.

“Like, you have to look. You can’t just go and stand in a random place, you’ve already looked at it, you’ve seen it with your eyes.
“Your eyes are the most important thing you have when you’re putting.“
As Harman says, your eyes are the most important thing when putting. AimPoint seems to take all feel and touch out of putting, and there is simply no evidence to suggest that it actually leads to any kind of significant improvement.
