Scottie Scheffler carded a tidy 67 in the final round of the Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club, finishing tied for eighth at 9‑under.
Despite battling gusty links conditions and not quite reaching the heights he expected, the World No. 1 still marked a major personal milestone.
With this result, Scheffler has now placed inside the top 25 in each of his 15 starts this season, including an impressive run of 10 consecutive top‑10 finishes.
Though Scheffler left Scotland a little underwhelmed by his own performance, the real headline came via PGA Tour on X.
“With a T8 finish at the Genesis Scottish Open, World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler has now finished inside the top 25 in all 15 starts this season, including 10 consecutive top‑10 finishes.” they posted.
Reflecting on his Scottish Open performance, Scheffler admitted he’s still chasing his best form.
“I feel like I’m really close. I feel like I was close to playing some really good golf. Just got to get some momentum. I’ll get out and play a decent amount. I’ll spend some time out on the course.” he said in a press conference on Sunday.

That mindset will serve him well as he shifts focus to next week’s Open Championship at Royal Portrush, especially since Rory McIlroy is back to his form.
The World No. 2 will feel significantly confident after finishing the tournament tied second with a score of 13-under. He lost to Chris Gotterup, who became the sixth American to win the event, by two shots.
The win at North Berwick earned Gotterup a ticket to the British Open as well.
