Thad Jean, Logan Storley, Jesus Pinedo and Movlid Khaybulaev all advanced to the finals of their respective weight classes at PFL 5 Thursday night. The event took place from Nashville, Tennessee and aired live on ESPN and ESPN+ from the Nashville Municipal Auditorium.
Jean improved to 15-0 with a main event victory over Jason Jackson via split decision. His future opponent, Storley, bested Masayuki Kikuiri via unanimous decision to advance.
Pinedo knocked out Gabriel Braga in the first round while Khaybulaev topped Taekyun Kim via decision. The Pinedo vs. Khaybulaev contest will be a matchup of former PFL winners, as Pinedo won in 2023 and Khaybulaev in 2021.
In prelim action, Adam Borics, Magomed Umalatov, Sarek Shields, Kendly St. Louis, Alexei Pergande and Jason Danner were all winners.
Up next will be the semifinals in the lightweight division along with the women’s flyweight and bantamweight. That event is set for June 20 and will air live on ESPN, ESPN+ and DAZN from Wichita, Kansas and the INTRUST Bank Arena.
