Alfredo Pedulla believes that signing both Manu Kone and Ademola Lookman would be “impossible” for Inter Milan to afford without sales.
Pedulla reported, via FCInter1908, that deals for the two players would cost around €100 million in total.
Manu Kone has emerged as a surprise transfer opportunity for Inter Milan.
The Nerazzurri reportedly see the France international as an ideal profile for the holding midfield position.
Inter have no shortage of midfielders who can play in a more advanced role.
However, midfielders like Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Hakan Calhanoglu are not as well-suited to playing in a double pivot.
Meanwhile, Inter are also still in the hunt for Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman. They have been trying to sign the Nigerian for weeks, and have had a couple offers rejected already.

Alfredo Pedulla reported that “I’m not aware of any direct contacts for Kone.”
“But there’s a frenzy among agents looking for opportunities,” he continues. “And clearly Inter would be a great opportunity for Kone.”
“Then, Roma value him at €50 million,” Pedulla reported. “Including add-ons.”
“We’ll see if they hold to that, and whether Inter abandon the possibility of signing Lookman.”
Pedulla then commented that “I’m keeping the ‘if’ in front of it because it would be a dramatic change in strategy.”
“Particularly given the wait for the player. And the €3-4 million difference between their offer and Atalanta’s asking price.”
“Signing both would take €100 million,” Pedulla reported. “Which would be difficult without major sales.”
