Romeo Doubs will be running his next routes in Foxborough.

The former Green Bay Packers wide receiver has reached agreement with the New England Patriots on a four-year, $68 million contract carrying a max value of $80 million, per Tuesday reports from NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport and Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer.

Doubs, 25, loomed among the top unrestricted free agents still available at the position after the legal tampering window opened at 12 p.m. ET on Monday. With 1,000-yard veteran Stefon Diggs scheduled to be released at the start of the new league year, he will step into a starting role for a wideout room that also includes Kayshon Boutte, Mack Hollins, Kyle Williams, DeMario Douglas, Efton Chism III, Jeremiah Webb and John Jiles under contract.

Taken in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL draft, Doubs started 50 of his 59 games while in Green Bay. The former No. 132 overall pick out of the University of Nevada amassed 202 catches for 2,424 yards and 21 touchdowns. He was targeted 320 times and stayed in for 2,814 offensive snaps.

Appearing in every game during the final year of his rookie deal, Doubs set a new high with 724 receiving yards and was charted by Pro Football Focus for a 112.7 passer rating when turned to. According to Next Gen Stats, he converted 21 explosive plays and averaged 1.8 yards per route run.

Doubs caught a career-best three touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys last September. And in January, in his final playoff game in the NFC North, he made his way back to the end zone while collecting eight receptions for 124 yards against the Chicago Bears.

The 6-foot-2, 204-pounder will now make his way into quarterback Drake Maye’s progressions.

The official start of the new league year is set for Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET.
