The Carolina Panthers bounced back from one of the worst defensive performances in the team’s history to one in which they held the Atlanta Falcons to just three points while forcing five turnovers. But it seems as though that improved defensive effort has come with a cost. Seemingly no one got nicked up in the Bears game, but shutting down the Falcons took a toll on some key defenders that sat out practice in the first official session of the week.

Devin Lloyd played the game of his life, and apparently his calf is a little sore from all that running back on interceptions. He finished out the game, so hopefully whatever he’s dealing with his minor. I also don’t recall Phillips leaving the game with an injury, so his is hopefully minor as well.

Nick Scott did leave the game on Sunday and didn’t return, so his status would appear to be more in doubt. Lathan Ransom filled in his absence and did pretty well. This could be an opportunity for him to establish himself as a key piece moving forward.

There is good news though. Patrick Jones and Bobby Brown were both back as full participants, which would imply that both are trending towards playing on Sunday. They’ll bring in some more depth up front and have a chance to cause some problems for the Browns offense.

The offensive side of the ball is status quo. Darren Waller gets his customary rest day while Jalen Coker gets a little bit of respite as he deals with the ankle injury he suffered in Week 1.

Browns Injury Report

The Browns only have one player that didn’t participate in the first practice of the week, and that’s supposed-to-be-starting right guard Teven Jenkins. He hasn’t played yet this season, and so far it doesn’t seem like that’s going to change this week.

Everyone else seems set to play given that they were already able to get some work in, so the Panthers will be preparing to play the Browns at virtually full strength, whatever that is.
