Packer golfers wrap up season in Section 1AAA meet

A pair of Austin seniors finished up their run with the Packer boys golf team, with one missing out on state by the slimmest of margins on the second day of the Section 1AAA meet in Lake City Wednesday.
Austin senior Cale Tupy shot a 74, giving him a two-day total of 149, when the cut-off for state was 148.
Senior Carter Hovelsrud shot a 10-foot par putt on his last shot of the day to score an 82, to give him a two-day score of 161.
Eli Krueger, who was Austin’s first All Big Nine player since 2016, shot an 82, to finish with a 165.
