The Oklahoma State Cowboys will look to muddy up the Big 12 Conference race when they battle the 13th-ranked BYU Cougars in a key conference matchup on Friday night. Oklahoma State is coming off its bye week and is coming off a 38-14 loss to West Virginia on Oct. 5, while BYU is coming off a 41-19 victory over Arizona, its third double-digit margin win this season. The Cowboys (3-3, 0-3 Big 12), on a three-game losing streak, are 1-1 in road games this year. The Cougars (6-0, 3-0 Big 12), who are off to their best start since going 9-0 in 2020, are looking for their first conference title since winning the Mountain West in 2007.

He had eight receptions for 120 yards (15 average) and one touchdown in a 34-28 win at Baylor on Sept. 28.

Redshirt junior linebacker Jack Kelly has been a beast on defense. In six games this year, he has registered a team-high three sacks and 21 tackles, including 11 solo, with five tackles for loss. He has also forced one fumble, has seven quarterback hits and has broken up one pass. Redshirt senior quarterback Alan Bowman, in his second year with the program, has been under center for most of the season, but the Cowboys are reportedly eyeing a change, potentially giving sophomore Garret Rangel a chance in this one. Rangel has appeared in relief three times this season, completing 11 of 24 attempts for 141 yards and one touchdown. The Cowboys have a pair of wide receivers with four touchdown receptions on the year in junior De’Zhaun Stribling and senior Brennan Presley. Stribling has 29 catches for a team-high 556 yards (19.2 average), including a long of 77 yards. Presley has a team-high 36 receptions for 337 yards (9.4 average) with a long of 36 yards. Stribling is in his second season with the Cowboys after two seasons at Washington State, while Presley is in his fifth year at Oklahoma State.

Senior safety Trey Rucker helps lead the Cowboys defense. He has a team-high 69 tackles, including 40 solo, with two interceptions. The sixth-year veteran is in his fourth season with the program after spending two seasons at Wake Forest.
