It was a beautiful offensive performance from the Guardians today. The bats appear to be heating up at the right time. The Guardians scored 12 runs on 15 hits and 3 home runs. Angel Martinez went 4-5 with two home runs and is up to a .255 AVG with an OPS of .759 on the season. Chase DeLauter went 2-5 with a HR and is now hitting .290 with an .821 OPS. We also saw multi hit performances from Steven Kwan, Jose Ramirez, and Jo Adell. If the Guardians lineup can stay hot, they should have no problem making the playoffs.
Nobody is happier about the offensive performance tonight than Tanner Bibee, who really struggled in a must win game. He was only able to go 4.2 innings and surrendered 6 runs on 12 hits with only two strikeouts. His ERA on the season is up to 4.35. I had previously felt confident in Bibee starting a potential playoff game, but now I’m really starting to feel uneasy about it.

The Guardians will go for the sweep tomorrow. It will be Gavin Williams vs Jack Perkins at 1:40 pm ET. This is another must win game for the Guardians as the White Sox are just one game back of the division.
