The No. 69 MBM Motorsports team has been penalized following the Craftsman Truck Series race weekend at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, NASCAR announced Friday.
According to the sanctioning body, the team committed a safety violation during pre-qualifying inspection regarding the shifter boot found in Sections 14.2.3.6 A & B of the NASCAR Rule Book. The No. 69, driven by Jonathan Shafer last weekend, failed to qualify for the event at IRP.

MBM Motorsports was fined $5,000 and the No. 69 truck was docked 25 owner points, while Shafer was docked 25 driver points.
The Truck Series season resumes on Friday, Aug. 14 at Richmond Raceway (7:30 p.m. ET, FS1, NASCAR Racing Network, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio). Two races remain before the 10-driver field for The Chase is set.
