Every team has a roadmap for the long six months ahead, and they all begin with training camp.
There has already been a slew of news, buzz and injuries across the league to keep track of.
Several players have already suffered season-ending injuries: San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, Carolina Panthers rookie Chris Brazzell, Panthers second-year rusher Nic Scourton and New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Bryan Bresee. On Monday, Chicago Bears safety Coby Bryant suffered a knee injury that will keep him out eight to 10 weeks.
Notable hold-ins, Jahmyr Gibbs and Bijan Robinson, have been absent from practice as the pair of electric running backs are seeking new contracts before the season.

Among the most intriguing competitions this time of year are the quarterback battles. The four notables to watch are Kyler Murray and J.J. McCarthy in Minnesota. Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders in Cleveland. Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa in Atlanta and the veteran Kirk Cousins and No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza in Las Vegas.
With the second week of NFL training camps continuing today, here’s the latest news and updates from around the league:
