After starting in Week 8 for the first time since getting benched in favor of Andy Dalton back in September, there is reportedly support within the NFL for Bryce Young to remain the Carolina Panthers’ starting quarterback moving forward this season.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, team sources believe Dalton will get another chance to start once he is healthy, but sources from other teams feel Young should be the starter since the Panthers “have nothing to lose” with a 1-7 record.
Dalton started five games following Young’s benching, but after Dalton sprained his thumb in a car accident, Young got the start in last week’s 28-14 loss to the Denver Broncos and will start again on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.
