A rare opening-session split at the Solheim Cup on Friday was highlighted by another convincing victory from Americans Nelly Korda and Allisen Corpuz, who became the first partnership to win five straight matches in the event’s history.
They made history by taking down Europe’s top duo, Charley Hull and Lottie Woad, 4 and 3, in the first foursomes (alternate shot) match of the day at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands.

The Americans won the first two matches, but Europe won the last two for the morning split. It’s just the third time in Solheim Cup history the teams have been tied after the first session.
