When it comes to Nate Diaz, you truly never know what is going to come out of his mouth.
During a recent podcast appearance on This Past Weekend with Theo Van, Diaz points his words in the direction of former UFC champion Daniel Cormier. Diaz was on the show promoting his upcoming fight vs. Mike Perry.
Diaz and Perry will be part of the Netflix event on May 16 that features Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano. It is being promoted by Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions.
Nate Diaz might have sealed his future UFC fate
UFC executive Dana White recently confirmed that there were “early” talks concerning Diaz returning to the UFC. But in the end, he opted to take his talents elsewhere.
And considering what he had to say about Cormier, that might be for the better. “DC” is an analyst for big UFC events, and likely would have had some interesting things to say if he called a Diaz return fight.
“You’re a big old (expletive),” Diaz said of Cormier. “Remember when he cried?
“I’ve never seen a single Daniel Cormier fight in my career, except when I was on the same card as him.”
Daniel Cormier claimed Nate Diaz ‘not a good fighter’
Diaz noted that Cormier has taken to claiming he is “not a good fighter,” which led to the tirade.
“Are you mad because you were the champion and when I was nowhere near being a champion, I got paid way more money than you?” Diaz asked. “That’s a (expletive) bitter little (expletive) that’s analyzing fights. You’re a great wrestler, DC, but you just can’t fight for (expletive).”
Diaz has taken exception to comments from Cormier before when the ex-U.S. Olympic wrestler claimed he didn’t feel like Diaz could headline the UFC event that was held at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
