The NASCAR world feels terrible for Bubba Wallace on Sunday afternoon.

Wallace, who was penalized before NASCAR’s Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania, is having an up-and-down 2025 season. Wallace has shown some good stuff throughout the 2025 season, but he’s had some brutal luck, too. On Sunday, that bad luck was evident.

The brakes for the No. 23 Toyota failed at the Great American Getaway 400 on Sunday afternoon. Wallace slammed into the wall and his day is officially done.

It’s a brutal blow for a 23XI Racing team that is looking to make some deep pushes toward the postseason.

Wallace’s brakes gave out and he slammed into the wall about halfway through the race on Sunday.

It was a very hard hit – his day is done.

NASCAR fans are feeling terrible for him.

“Bubba Wallace is bad vibes,” one fan wrote.

“Bubba Wallace not having a good day,” one fan added.

“Bubba Wallace slams the wall with a right-front tire. He is done. Not good for him as he sits just above the playoff cutline. 23XI Racing has to feel uneasy with two similar issues at lap 56. Everyone can make it on fuel to the end of the stage from this caution,” one fan added.

“Prime replay shows a brake rotor issue for Bubba Wallace. Tyler Reddick is told he doesn’t have as much brake temp as his teammates who have had issues. They’re going to put more rear brake into his car,” one fan added.

“Huge hit for Bubba Wallace…that’ll hurt his points position,” one fan added.

“That’s brutal,” one fan added.

Alex Bowman is currently leading the NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway on Sunday.

Joey Logano and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. are currently in second and third place, respectively.

The NASCAR Cup Series race is airing live on Amazon Prime.
