Denny Hamlin and Ty Gibbs have JGR teammate beef? NASCAR podcast
The guys break down Ryan Blaney’s New Hampshire win, Denny Hamlin and Ty Gibbs’ NASCAR beef and the upcoming Cup Series playoff race at Kansas.
After Joe Gibbs Racing swept the first round of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs and Team Penske got on the board last week, Sunday was Hendrick Motorsports’ turn.
Chase Elliott won the Hollywood Casino 400 on Sept. 28 at Kansas Speedway. With his second win of the season, he advanced to the Round of 8 with one race to spare.
And it arrived dramatically.
On the final lap of an overtime restart, Elliott sped past Denny Hamlin on the inside, giving the No. 11 a side bump in the process. Elliott led 24 laps.
Hamlin finished second and fronted the pack for a race-high 159 laps. Christopher Bell placed third.
