The NASCAR Cup Series race at Nashville Superspeedway will have a new start time in 2025.

The fifth annual race scheduled for June 1 will start at 6 p.m. CT. The 2024 race started at 2:30 p.m.

“Racing under the lights at Nashville Superspeedway is truly special, and we’re pleased to once again offer our fans this amazing experience,” said Matt Greci, general manager of Nashville Superspeedway. “With the cooler evening temperatures and the incredible atmosphere that night races bring, this schedule allows us to deliver another unforgettable weekend that combines the excitement of NASCAR with Nashville’s incomparable energy.”

This will mark the second time the race has been run under the lights. The 2023 race started at 6 p.m. on June 25. The June 1 date will be the earliest the race has ever been run. Part of the 2022 race was also run under the lights after a weather delay.

The 2025 Tennessee Lottery 250 NASCAR Xfinity Series on May 31 will start at 6:30 p.m. and the Rackley 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race on May 30 will start at 7 p.m.

Joey Logano, who won the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series championship last week, won the 2024 Ally 400 followed by Zane Smith, Tyler Reddick, Ryan Preece and Chris Buescher.

Other past winners of the race were Ross Chastain in 2023, Chase Elliott in 2022 and Kyle Larson in 2021.

Elliott is one of the drivers who has pushed for a later start time for the Nashville race because of the heat in the early summer.
