This weekend NASCAR heads to Atlanta for the Quaker State 400 in the Cup Series. Dale Earnhardt Jr. will of course be there to support his team and drivers but is making it extra special this week.

Ahead of the big race, 70 NASCAR drivers across multiple races will be wearing Dale Jr-inspired skeleton gloves during the competition to raise funds for the Dale and Amy Earnhardt Fund. Each pair of gloves will be autographed and auctioned off, with the recipients getting a certificate of authenticity to boot.

"During the NASCAR race weekend at Atlanta, 70 NASCAR drivers will wear the Dale Earnhardt Jr.-inspired skeleton gloves during competition to help raise funds to support the Dale and Amy Earnhardt Fund at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital," NASCAR reporter Jayski wrote on X.

NASCAR driver Erik Jones was one of many to take to social media and express how pumped he was to be a part of the endeavor.

"I’m running the @TDJF skeleton gloves this weekend to support @DaleJr , @AmyEarnhardt , @NationwideKids and their work to help kids. They'll be signed by both me and Dale Jr. and will be auctioned off. Start bidding tonight at 8:30PM," Jones wrote on X.

NASCAR fans loved the idea last year and loved it again this year too:

"This is one of the most creative initiatives in NASCAR, I’m so glad it’s back for another year," one user wrote on X.

"Awesome," wrote another.

"Great cause," a third declared.

The Dale and Amy Earnhardt Fund works with Nationwide Children's Hospital "to support the courageous patients and their families in the area of pediatric injury rehabilitation, research, and prevention."

The last time they held an auction like this, they wound up making over $70,000 towards the cause.

We certainly hope that the auction is able to raise even more this year.
