Championship contenders dominated qualifying Saturday at Las Vegas.
Most dominant was Denny Hamlin, who will sit on the pole Sunday for the first race in the Round of 8. This season’s top qualifier, Chase Briscoe, was a tick slower than Hamlin and will start on the outside of Row 1 Sunday.
Those in the Round of 8 made up the top six speeds in Saturday’s qualifying, which preceded Saturday’s night’s Xfintiy Series race, which is also the first race in that series’ Round of 8.
