The NASCAR Cup Series heads back to New England this weekend with precious little time remaining for drivers to change the trajectory of their regular seasons.

NASCAR has released the official entry list for Sunday’s Dollar Tree 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and 36 cars are scheduled to compete on the 1-mile oval.

The Aug. 23 race will be the 25th points-paying event of the 2026 Cup Series season and, more importantly, the penultimate race of the regular season. After New Hampshire, only Daytona remains before the postseason field is set.

That puts even more weight on a weekend that already features several noteworthy names and entries.

36 Cars Entered for NASCAR Cup Series Race at New Hampshire

The New Hampshire field includes the usual full-time Cup Series competitors along with several entries worth watching.

Austin Hill is entered in Richard Childress Racing’s No. 33 Chevrolet. Hill is listed as ineligible for Cup Series driver championship points.

Riley Herbst will drive the No. 35 Toyota for 23XI Racing, while Cole Custer is entered in the No. 41 Ford for Haas Factory Team.

Trackhouse Racing will have three cars in the field. Ross Chastain returns in the No. 1, Connor Zilisch is entered in the No. 88 and Shane van Gisbergen will drive the No. 97.

New Hampshire also brings another opportunity for the sport’s biggest names to make a move before the regular season ends.

Joey Logano arrives with considerable momentum after winning two of the past four Cup races, including the most recent event at Richmond Raceway. The Team Penske driver also owns two career Cup victories at New Hampshire, winning there in 2009 and 2014.

Ryan Blaney, meanwhile, returns as the defending winner at the track.
