Football fans from several European clubs have reacted to Ademola Lookman’s outburst on social media regarding the treatment of Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini, showing support for the player and inviting him to join their respective teams.

The Nigeria international missed a penalty kick on Tuesday as La Dea crashed out of the Champions League with a 3-1 defeat to Club Brugge. The manager later slammed the striker for taking the penalty despite being, in his words, ‘one of the worst penalty takers I’ve ever seen.’

Lookman, understandably hurt by his coach’s comments, responded with a public statement, saying he felt it was ‘disrespectful’ to be ‘singled out’ by Gasperini.

The news of the argument immediately sparked speculation about the forward’s potential departure from the Gewiss Stadium next summer, prompting many fans to turn up in numbers in the comment section to express their admiration for the 27-year-old.
