Derek Lunsford capped off the best year of his bodybuilding career by becoming Mr. Olympia for 2025.
Lunsford stood out the most in a stacked field, beating Hadi Choopan, Andrew Jacked and 2024 Mr. Olympia Samson Dauda among others for the open title on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Earlier this year, Lunsford won the Arnold Classic and Pittsburgh Pro, so he achieved his goal of a triple crown in Las Vegas. In terms of a Mr. Olympia/Arnold Classic double, Brandon Curry in 2019 was the last bodybuilder to pull off that feat.
This is also the second Mr. Olympia title for 32-year-old Indiana native after he came out on top in 2023. His efforts were well rewarded this time around as he took home $600,000.
Dauda, the 2024 champion, was unable to defend his crown and fell to fourth, while Choopan settled for a third successive runner-up finish.
