Patricio Pitbull, Leandro Higo, and Patchy Mix have replied to each other in a string of tweets which throw their voices into the crowd of disgruntled fighters from the organization formerly known as Bellator, now a subsidiary of the Professional Fighter’s League which is referred to as Bellator Champions Series.

BCS was advertised as delivering eight events in 2024, with two title fights per card guaranteed. However, rcent news that yet another card – an upcoming Parisian card which Mix and Higo had been meant to headline – had been canceled brought the total down to five cards for the year. Only one spotted than one title fight on.

Bellator champion and one of the best BWs in the world, Patchy Mix, was among the first to react to the news. He also added in that he was removed from a January card without explanation.

Mix’s scheduled opponent, Leandro Higo, quote tweeted to similarly bemoan the time and cost expenditure the fighters are forced to incur for an event which ended up never happening.

To make matters worse for PFL, and fans who want to see fights, Bellator GOAT Patricio Pitbull’s quote tweet added that he was promised three fights this year and only received one. He was scheduled to fight on one of Bellator’s traditional New Year’s Eve cards but got no communication from PFL when things went sideways, instead finding out online his opponent had a new matchup. Then the event was completely canceled after he began preparing for a new opponent.

This poor treatment of fighters goes against the Professional Fighter’s League’s self-proclaimed mission statement, to be a fighter-first organization. These three fighters add their name to a list including current/former champions Cris Cyborg and Gegard Mousasi, the latter of whom is suing PFL as well as Bellator for breach of contract.
