One of the Mets’ top picks from the year’s draft class is already taking another step.
Third rounder Aiden Robbins has been promoted to High-A Brooklyn.
Robbins generated some first-round buzz heading into the draft, but he ended up falling partially due to questions over his ability to hit breaking balls consistently.

The slugger from Texas has shown no such issues to this point.
He posted a strong .286 average with two doubles, four home runs, 16 RBI, and a .826 OPS over his first 20 games hitting towards the top of St. Lucie’s lineup.
Robbins spent most of his time in center, but also appeared in the corner spots.
The 21-year-old has already jumped up into the top-10 in some organizational rankings, and he only figures to continue rising if he can keep this success up to finish the year in Brooklyn.
