New York could not recover and ended up falling 2-1 to the Blue Jays in the series opener. Francisco Lindor did hit his first home run since his return from the IL.

The Diamondbacks topped the Giants 5-4.
The Mariners won their game 6-2 against the Angels.
In the battle of Max Muncys (both teams featured a Muncy batting seventh and playing third), the Dodgers thrashed the Athletics 9-4. The Dodgers took advantage of the dimensions in Sacramento to hit three homers in the victory.
