Meadow Greens-Ramsey Ladies Golf Club plays “Lagging” – Austin Daily Herald

Play of the Day on Wednesday for the Meadow Greens – Ramsey Ladies Golf Club was “Lagging.” Members played a regular round of golf, but once everyone was on the green, points were awarded for being closest to the pin. The closest golfer earned three points, second closest received two points, and the third closest was awarded one point.

Winners on the front nine included Rita Devereaux with 21 points, Sandy Davis scoring 20 points, and Barb James and Janice Perrigo both took wins with 17 points. On the back nine, Carmel Taylor scored a win with 20 points, while Mary Christian, Chris Swatfager and Jan Thissen all received wins with 18 points.

Carmel Taylor had the only chip-in for the day on hole No. 18. Birdies were made by Mary Jo Swoboda on hole No. 4, Chris Swatfager also on hole No. 4, Judy McGuire on hole No. 12, and Carrie Schwirtz on hole No. 16.
