Kylian Mbappe continued his remarkable Real Madrid journey with a hat-trick as Los Blancos secured an emphatic 4-1 victory over Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabéu.
It was a special afternoon for the French superstar, who marked his first appearance at the Bernabeu this season with three goals and another major milestone.

Mbappe has now reached 101 goal contributions for Real Madrid, having scored 89 goals and provided 12 assists since arriving at the club.
More importantly for Real Madrid, however, Mbappe appears to have started the new campaign in outstanding form.
The Frenchman looks increasingly like the record-breaking forward fans have come to expect, rather than the player who endured a difficult, injury-affected conclusion to the previous season.
Against Real Sociedad, he provided the clearest evidence that his best version has returned.

The forward returned from his break looking refreshed and sharp, rediscovering the devastating form that has made him one of world football’s most prolific goalscorers.
His hat-trick against Real Sociedad was his sixth for Real Madrid and the 25th of his professional career.
It must be remembered that Mbappe had already equalled Cristiano Ronaldo’s record for goals scored in a calendar year by finding the net 59 times in 2025.
Now, the hat-trick showed the kind of confidence that can transform an already exceptional forward into an unstoppable one.
Real Sociedad were simply unable to contain him as Madrid turned their attacking superiority into a convincing home victory.

Mbappe’s reaction to his hat-trick
Speaking to Real Madrid TV after the match, Mbappe was delighted with both his individual performance and Real Madrid’s first home victory of the season.
“Yes, yes, I’m really happy with the team’s win and the three goals.”

Asked about the match itself and the atmosphere at the Bernabéu, the Frenchman stressed the importance of making a strong start at home.
“Very good. Our first home match. It was important to win. I think the team’s four goals made the Bernabéu happy, and we must carry on like this.”

When asked which of his three goals he would choose as his favourite, Mbappe refused to separate them.
“All three. All three. No, all three are good. All three are good, of course.”
The 27-year-old also turned his attention towards Real Madrid’s next fixture against Malaga, which will again be played at the Bernabéu.
“Now it’s against Málaga in the next match and here again. See you on Sunday,” he concluded.
