Amerian three-weight champion Mikaela Mayer has signed with Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), joining Caroline Dubois and Amanda Serrano at the boxing promotion.

Mayer links up with Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, the co-founders of MVP.

The 35-year-old, who has won world titles at light-middleweight, welterweight and super-featherweight, joins an organisation that last week announced it would be launching a women’s league in 2026

“I’ve always wanted the biggest and best fights, and MVP’s premier roster of women champions creates incredible opportunities to make those matchups happen,” Mayer said.

“I’m looking forward to showcasing my skills on some of the biggest platforms in the sport and working with a passionate, innovative team that believes in the continued growth of women’s boxing.”

Mayer has long chased a rematch with unified super-featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner, but has not fought at that weight since losing to her domestic rival in 2022.

WBO champion Mayer has also been pushing for a welterweight unification fight with Wales’ Lauren Price who defends WBA, IBF and WBC titles against Stephanie Pineiro on 4 April.

Lightweight champions Dubois and Terri Harper are also with MVP and their unification bout on 5 April is set to be the first event of MVP’s new league ‘MVPW’.

It is unclear how the league will operate and it hinges on the Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act passing in the US which currently bans boxing promotions from having their own UFC-style leagues with rankings and their own world titles.
