The saga of Las Vegas Raiders star pass rusher Maxx Crosby took yet another turn Wednesday night. Following a day of uncertainty after the Baltimore Ravens backed out of a trade for the star and then immediately signed Trey Hendrickson, Crosby appeared to re-commit to the Raiders.

A little over 24 after the Ravens announced they backed out of the deal, Crosby told Raiders fans he was “back,” and seemed to imply he was there to stay, adding, “Run that s***.”

His post featured a gif of the WWE wrestler The Undertaker, whose whole gimmick involves coming back from the dead.
While the Raiders are probably pleased with that development, the team could still have more work to do after Crosby’s contract went back on the books. The Raiders splurged in free agency following what the team thought was a trade that cleared Crosby’s salary for next season.
With Crosby presumably gone, the team picked up center Tyler Linderbaum on a record deal, and also added defensive lineman Kwity Paye, linebackers Quay Walker and Nakobe Dean and wideout Jalen Nailor. Following those signings, and the re-addition of Crosby, the Raiders will need to make sure they can still navigate the salary cap and make the moves needed to get back into contention.

If Crosby is truly sticking in Las Vegas, it ultimately helps the team in multiple ways. Crosby is a superstar talent and one of the best defensive players in the NFL. His presence lifts the entire Raiders’ defense.
But the move also signals Crosby found a middle ground with the team after it looked like he was destined to leave. That probably speaks well of the new regime in Las Vegas, led by general manager John Spytek and head coach Klint Kubiak.
With Crosby back, the Raiders are in much better shape heading into 2026. There’s still work to be done — particularly at quarterback — but the Raiders will take a massive step toward contention if Crosby truly is back for good after an already eventful offseason.
