Olympique de Marseille have entered into crisis mode following their 5-0 defeat to fierce rivals Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.

There are questions surrounding the future of manager Roberto De Zerbi, but other members of Marseille’s hierarchy are in the firing line. Sporting director Medhi Benatia has already publicly alluded to a departure from OM in the not-too-distant future, but, while linking his future to that of the Moroccan, De Zerbi said that he didn’t expect his colleague to depart this summer.

But that is, of course, assuming that Benatia leaves on his own terms. La Provence understands that the sporting director could depart at the end of the season. His relationship with the club’s president, Pablo Longoria, has deteriorated.
