Manchester City’s next signing should be announced early next week.
Provided that Tijjani Reijnders’ medical with Manchester City goes off without a hitch, he should be unveiled as a Manchester City player early next week. The same can be said for Algerian international Rayan Ait-Nouri. Both players will be welcome additions to Pep Guardiola’s squad. They will fill areas of need and give Pep Guardiola more options to utilise for next season.
The other positive in Manchester City’s quick moves for Rayan Ait-Nouri and Tijjani Reijnders is that both players should be in Manchester City’s FIFA Club World Cup squad. As Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al-Mubarak previously stated, getting new signings in for the upcoming tournament was his club’s goal in the early summer transfer window. Manchester City now seem to be a step away from completing part of that goal. Both players should now get the opportunity to gel with their teammates next week. They will also get a head start on life at Manchester City ahead of next season. That is a major boost for Pep Guardiola’s side as they bid to put a disappointing 24/25 season behind them.
Tijjani Reijnders will be in Manchester today. He will complete his medical ahead of his move to Manchester City. The Dutch international figures to be an exciting addition to Manchester City’s midfield. His overall game will add attributes that Manchester City’s midfield desperately needs. Reijnders was named Serie A midfielder of the season last season. Manchester City will be adding a quality midfielder who is in the prime of his career. The hope is that he can further develop as a player at Manchester City. If he does his reported €55 million transfer fee will be viewed as a bargain.
