New initiative introduced after protests against season ticket freezes were upheld last season
Manchester City are rewarding their local supporters with £10 tickets for every home game of the 2026-27 Premier League season.
The club, which is beginning a new era under Enzo Maresca following the departure of Pep Guardiola, have worked with City Matters, a fan advisory board, on the new initiative.

It aims to protect the local core of City’s support while opening opportunities for Mancunians who reside near the Etihad Campus to attend matches who may have never done so before.
Khaldoon Al Mubarak steps in to save Manchester City fans from season ticket price increase
City get their campaign underway against Bournemouth next month, where between 100 and 500 tickets will be available, and tickets drawn by ballot will include the biggest games against Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United later in the season.
Tickets will cost £10 for adults, £7.50 for concessions, and £5 for under-fives; it is possible for multiple people to apply for allocations together, if they wish to sit with one another.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Lee Broadstock, the chair of City Matters, said: “We’re really pleased to see the club take proactive steps to help local people watch Manchester City, with thousands of Premier League tickets available for just £10.

“By making matches more accessible, it will help more people from east Manchester attend regularly, get behind the team and contribute to the atmosphere that makes the Etihad such a special place on matchdays.”
As revealed by the local council, addresses in Clayton & Openshaw, Ancoats & Beswick, Gorton & Abbey Hey, Ardwick, and Miles Platting & Newton Heath will be available for the new ticket scheme. Seats will be available across the Etihad Stadium and not in one particular area or block.
Helping out locals has become a priority for City bosses following a string of protests last season that were demonstrated after the club announced that prices of season tickets would be frozen for the 2025/26 campaign – a move that led chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak to describe the separation of fans from the club as “not okay”.
Manchester City attempted to INCREASE ticket prices before last-minute u-turn
But following the £300 million expansion of the North Stand, renamed the Pep Guardiola Stand in honour of the legendary former manager, higher-ups are aware that this may impact those living in the surrounding areas.

Offering discounted tickets helps engage the people of east Manchester in the project, supported by the nearby Co-op Live concert venue and the ongoing improvements that the City Football Group continues to make around the ground.
In March earlier this year, the eight-time Premier League champions revealed new plans to build a 400-bed hotel, a 3,000-capacity fan zone, a new club shop, a museum, and a 600-capacity immersive entertainment venue hosting Mamma Mia! The Party. Three weeks ago, the final stages of permissions were approved.
