Rory McIlroy and wife Erica Stoll are once again in the news, but this time there is nothing but good vibes for the couple. After a bumpy 2024, the couple have reconciled, and Stoll is once again a regular at PGA Tour events.

Stoll was at Augusta National celebrating her husband’s historic Masters win to complete the career Grand Slam. The couple currently lives in Jupiter, Fla., but this appears to be changing soon.

While the couple plan to keep their Florida home, McIlroy and Stoll are preparing to make a big move. According to The Telegraph’s James Corrigan, McIlroy and his wife plan to move into a new home being built in Wentworth, located just outside London, England, following the U.S. Open.

“Rory McIlroy, who completed the career grand slam in dramatic scenes at the Masters recently, has revealed that the house he and wife Erica have been building in Wentworth is ready and that the pair, along with daughter Poppy, will move in after the US Open in five weeks’ time,” Corrigan wrote on Wednesday.

Telegraph Sport revealed in 2023 that the couple had purchased a plot in the exclusive estate, because of their fondness of London and the cooler climes in the summer. They will retain their property in South Florida – a mansion they bought off Ernie Els in 2017 – and while he is playing, that will remain their base. But there is the possibility of the family making the switch permanent – tax implications willing, of course.”

The news does not come as a major surprise for golf fans who watched the popular Netflix show “Full Swing.” One scene from the recent third season showed McIlroy talking to someone on the golf course, revealing his wife’s desire to spend more time in England.

“If it was up to her, she wouldn’t move to England straightaway but she definitely wants to spend more time there,” McIlroy said on “Full Swing,” per the New York Post.

McIlroy noted that the couple recently took a quick visit to their eventual new home after he secured the green jacket.

“Straight after Augusta we travelled over to see the house as it was going through the finishing touches,” McIlroy told Corrigan. “It was fun to see and we could have stayed in it, but we wanted to get over to Holywood (his home town in Belfast).”
