LPGA Tour star Charley Hull, the No. 5 ranked player in the world, announced a decision on playing a round of golf with President Trump.
The 29-year-old golfer, originally from the United Kingdom, attended the United States state visit banquet at Windsor Castle on Wednesday evening. She got to meet President Trump in the process. Hull was happy to "finally" get to meet the U.S. President in person.
"An unforgettable evening at Windsor Castle. It was an honour to be invited by the King and Queen to the State Banquet. And great to finally meet President Trump. One for the memory books," she wrote on her Instagram page.
Hull has made it clear over the years that she's a major fan of President Trump. She suggested in November of 2024 that he was better than her country's Prime Minister.
"I love Trump. I think he’s brilliant," Hull said before last year's CME Group Tour Championship. "I like how he just says things, he doesn’t care what people think, and he’s straight to the point. I wish he was head of the U.K.," Hull added. "I just like him as a person. He’s a little better than our Prime Minister."
Hull is playing a round with President Trump
The LPGA Tour star is set to play a round of golf with the President of the United States, she announced on Thursday morning. Hull joined BBC Radio 5 on Thursday morning to recap her night with President Trump.
"He has said he wants to sort a game out. That is pretty cool. Last year he reached out actually to my agent and he wanted to play at the end of the year but I think I was going on holiday," Hull told the radio station.
"We spoke about it last night and we are really going to try and sort a game out before the end of the year which will be pretty cool."
Hull made it clear that her opinion of President Trump has only grown higher.
"I tell you what, I spoke to him for a little while, and he is a lovely man and I really got on with him," Hull continued.
"I will look forward to playing golf with him and he was very engaging with everyone. We were just talking about golf and he knows a few players on the LPGA Tour and some of the guys as well."
Hull, who has won tournaments on both the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour, has developed a big-time following on Instagram. She has more than 800,000 followers on her Instagram page. If she posts a video of her round with President Trump, she could only blow up more.
President Trump has played a lot of rounds of golf with professionals over the years, including Tiger Woods, Bryson DeChambeau, Jack Nicklaus and others.
Hull is set to join that list.
