Following the success of the TGL indoor golf league that’s featured Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler, women will have a league of their own.

The LPGA, in partnership with TMRW Sports, announced on Tuesday the formation of the Women’s TGL, set to debut in winter of 2026-27.

The TGL (Tomorrow Golf League) launched last winter with Woods and McIlroy as co-founders. The winter virtual golf league is played at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach, Florida, an indoor arena with massive screens and real putting greens.

It pits teams of four golfers against each other playing on virtual courses. It drew some of the game’s top names including Collin Morikawa, Shane Lowry and Xander Schauffele in addition to Woods, McIlroy and Fowler.

Golfers are mic’d up, and fans are close to the action, and the two-hour matches are played in prime time. In general, it looks like a lot of fun for everyone involved. As the TGL gained traction, there were rumors that a team of LPGA players would be added to the roster. Instead, women will have their own league starting next winter.

The SoFi Center will now host the WTGL in addition to the TGL.

“Partnering with TMRW Sports on WTGL reflects our belief that innovation can help the game reach new fans and create greater visibility for LPGA athletes,” LPGA Commissioner Craig Kessler said, via Tuesday’s announcement. “I’ve seen how new formats can engage audiences while showcasing both athlete personality and performance, and WTGL brings that spirit of innovation to the women’s game.”

The WTGL announcement did not include rosters or the names of participants. But if it’s anything like its men’s counterpart, it will feature several of the LPGA’s best players.
