Jay Monahan discusses President Trump’s role in PGA Tour, LIV Golf negotiations
PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan gave an update on negotiations between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 ahead of The Players’ Championship.
- LIV Golf is hosting a nine-hole scramble event called “The Duels” featuring LIV Golf pros and social media influencers.
- The event will be broadcast exclusively on Grant Horvat’s YouTube channel on April 5th.
- The PGA Tour hosted a similar event, the Creator Classic, on the Wednesday before The Players Championship.
- The Duels will broadcast during LIV Golf Miami, held April 4-6 at Trump National Doral’s Blue Monster.
LIV Golf is rolling out its own version of the PGA Tour’s Creator Classic during its Miami tournament in April.
“The Duels” will feature six teams of LIV Golf pros and social media influencers competing in a nine-hole scramble event which will be broadcast exclusively on Grant Horvat’s YouTube channel on April 5.
LIV Golf Miami will be held April 4-6 at Trump National Doral’s Blue Monster.
The ‘made-for-YouTube’ event will include shot-by-shot coverage of the contest as well as commentary from comedian and actor Andrew Santino as well as golf personalities Mason Nutt, Joey Demara (Joey Cold Cuts) and Robby Berger (Bobby Fairways).
The PGA Tour hosted its Creator Classic on the Wednesday ahead of the The Players Championship. Horvat, a South Fork High and Palm Beach Atlantic alum, won the creators-only event.
