If you look upon the Detroit Lions’ Thursday injury report for their Week 3 game against the New York Jets, it may look daunting. After all, four offensive linemen don the list, and Detroit can ill-afford any more injuries at the position. But upon closer examination, the news is mostly good for that unit.
Let’s break down the entire injury report below.

Note: Any changes from the most recent injury report will be bolded.
No practice
Bartch and Harper missing a second straight practice is an ominous sign for both of their availabilities on Sunday vs. the Jets. In fact, it sounds more and more likely that Harper will miss the game based on how Lions defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard spoke of getting Christian Izien ready to potentially start this week alongside Chuck Clark.
“I’m excited to see Christian Izien and go out there and fly around at the safety spot this week,” Sheppard said.
It’s unclear what Bartch’s prognosis is nor is it clear whether this foot injury is related to the one that ended his 2025 season and limited him in training camp.

Limited practice
No change for all three of the Lions’ starting offensive linemen on the injury report. However, it was suggested that both Mahogany and Miller may have played last week if the game was on Sunday instead of Thursday. Therefore, it seems likely on track to play again this week, barring any setbacks.
Less is known about Ratledge’s injury, but the fact that he wasn’t downgraded to no practice on Thursday is a positive sign that this was not a sudden, serious injury that popped up during practice on Wednesday.
For now, there’s no reason to believe that Detroit’s projected starting lineup—Penei Sewell, Christian Mahogany, Juice Scruggs, Tate Ratledge, and Blake Miller—will be disrupted this week.

EDGE Ahmed Hassanein (illness) — Upgraded from limited practice Wednesday
As expected, McNeill was back at practice on Thursday, and it doesn’t appear he’s in any danger of missing Sunday’s game.
It’s the same positive outlook for Hatten. Lions special teams coordinator Dave Fipp reassured reporters on Thursday that Hatten is essentially unaffected by the wrist injury.
“He snapped fine yesterday and he’ll play in the game. He looks good to me,” Fipp said.
