La Liga MX returned with the Apertura 2025, but none of the eight matches in Jornada 1 managed to achieve a full house in the stadiums.
Expectations were high, but attendance fell short of what was anticipated.
Neither Toluca, the recent champion of Mexican football, nor Cruz Azul, the Concachampions titleholder, managed to draw the majority of the fans.
León was the team with the best attendance over the weekend.
Cruz Azul only gathered 20,098 people at the Estadio Olímpico Universitario, after a goalless draw against Mazatlán.
Toluca, in their victory over Necaxa, attracted 20,273 fans to the Nemesio Díez.
León topped the box office with 21,957 attendees in their defeat against Atlético de San Luis.
The match between Juárez and América drew 18,098 people and was the closest to a full house.
