Layne Riggs won Friday evening’s Craftsman Truck Series race at Pocono Raceway to claim his first victory of the season and third career victory. Riggs becomes the seventh driver to provisionally lock into the playoffs via a race win.
Riggs, who started from pole and won Stage 1, found himself in prime position after Corey Heim had a right-rear tire go down before the race’s final restart and the No. 7 Spire Motorsports truck of Carson Hocevar was handed a restart violation.
Tanner Gray finished second, 3.640 seconds behind the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports Truck.

Kaden Honeycutt, Xfinity Series regular Brandon Jones, and Daniel Hemric completed the top five.
Connor Mosack, Chandler Smith, Stewart Friesen, defending series champ Ty Majeski, and Rajah Caruth rounded out the top 10.
The final stage opened up with a pair of cautions as a three-wide battle between Grant Enfinger, Ben Rhodes and Tyler Ankrum went haywire and collected a host of trucks. The following restart, Jake Garcia washed up the track, got loose and spun, but fortunately did not make contact with anyone else.
Heim dominated the majority of the event as he led 48 circuits around the “Tricky Triangle,” and finished 23rd after his late pit stop. Heim won his 12th stage of the season in the middle frame of the 200-miler.
Next Saturday, the series makes its first trek up to Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Connecticut for the LIUNA 150 (1 p.m. ET, FOX, NASCAR Racing Network Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
