In the weeks following the tragic passing of Kyle Busch, the former NASCAR champion’s son Brexton was understandably taking a break from social media to mourn with the family. But on Monday, he made his triumphant return to Instagram – much to the delight of racing fans.

Brexton Busch shared some photos from the Charlotte Motor Speedway track in one of the smaller cars, which had the No. 18 which his father used to have.

The post didn’t include any words, but has since gone viral with over 77,000 likes, 1,000 comments and 1,400 shares.

Beautiful Messages

Those 1,000 comments were filled with warm messages from racing fans expressing how proud they are of him and his father, and how much they hope he continues racing.

“Keep rocking kid. We’re all in your corner,” one user on X declared.

“Brexton, I hope you know the whole racing community is behind you. Keep wheeling,” wrote another.

“Whether in the stands or in your heart, you’ve got an entire racing community in your corner buddy! Go take a bow for your dad,” a third wrote.

“You got this Brex. We’re all with you every step of the way.”

“Got the whole racing community behind your back! Good luck Brexton!”

“Good to see you getting some track time. Remember, take what you’ve learned, apply it, and most of all, have fun. Rowdynation and this old lady love and support you.”

Kyle Busch passed away due to sepsis brought on by pneumonia last month. He was on the verge of re-signing with Richard Childress Racing for another year.

In homage to Busch, RCR has decided to retire the No. 8 car that he rode for the entirety of his run with them and reserve it especially for Brexton Busch in the event he competes in the Cup Series.
