Camilo Villegas and Kevin Kisner were involved in a heated argument during the Presidents Cup at Royal Montreal Golf Club back in 2024.
Kisner and Villegas were vice-captains on the United States and International Presidents Cup teams respectively.

As we know, the US team ran out comfortable 18.5-11.5 victors at Royal Montreal, as they continued their sheer and utter domination in the competition.
Kevin Kisner has served as a vice-captain on numerous United States teams throughout his career, including at the Presidents Cup in 2024.

There were some unsavory scenes at Royal Montreal two years ago as the two fiercely competitive teams battled it out in Canada.
And now Kisner has lifted the lid on a heated exchange that he was involved in with one of the International team’s vice-captains, Villegas.
Kevin Kisner reveals the reason for Presidents Cup fallout with Camilo Villegas
When speaking on the Fore Play Plus Podcast, Kisner was asked what happened with Camilo Villegas during the Presidents Cup at Royal Montreal Golf Club in 2024.

“Camilo and I were walking in the same group. Tom Kim was playing for them and Scottie Scheffler was playing for us in that group,“ Kisner explained.
“Obviously, they have a long history of playing against each other. Tom made a putt and went nuts, and then Scottie made a putt and went nuts, and kind of like bowed up towards Tom in his direction.
“The next hole, Tom made another long putt, and we had two putts to tie, and Camilo told his team to walk off the green and go to the next hole.
“I was like 50 yards from the green, I just watched it, and then when Scottie and Russ both missed their putts to tie, they walked by me and said, ‘what the hell was that? What are they doing, walking off’?

“And I just told them, ‘calm down, I got it’.

“So when they hit off the next tee, I just walked up to Camilo. I was like, ‘what are you doing? Like, that was the most unsportsmanlike thing I’ve seen’.
“And he goes, ‘bro, don’t worry about us, bro’. And I was like, ‘no, I’m gonna worry about ‘us’ because that’s my team you’re affecting’. I said, ‘if you want to play that way, we can all play that way, or you can just play normally’.“
Kisner and Villegas continued their heated debate after the match
Kisner explained how he and Villegas did not let the matter drop.
The pair actually squared up to each other after the match had finished.

“Then after the match, he came up to me talking all kinds of trash,“ Kisner revealed.
“And I just stood right in front of him in his face and stared at him. Everybody on TV saw it, I think.
“What are you gonna do, fight me out here? You gonna punch me?“
Whether or not the matter is now resolved between the duo is unclear.
However, it is obvious that there was no love lost between Kevin Kisner and Camilo Villegas at the Presidents Cup in 2024.
