The San Francisco 49ers’ injury report saw a couple of changes Thursday. The players who rested on Wednesday, Christian McCaffrey, Dre Greenlaw, and Trent Williams, were all upgraded to full participants during Thursday’s session.

Edge rusher Khalid Kareem was also upgraded to a full participant after sitting out Wednesday with a shoulder injury.

Kicker Eddy Pineiro did not practice for the second day in a row with an illness. The 49ers will likely give Pineiro as long as he needs to shake whatever is bothering him. The big news is rookie running back Kaelon Black, who was added to the injury report with a groin injury. Black had a limited designation. He joins George Kittle (Achilles), Keion White (back), Kyle Juszczyk (finger), and Nick Bosa (knee) on the limited list.

It’s probably a good sign that we haven’t heard any reports yet about Black’s injury being anything serious. Kyle Shanahan will have updates on Friday.
