Lot of hope was placed on Reinier when he joined Real Madrid in a €30 million deal from Flamengo, with many expecting him to follow in the footsteps of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.
However, after five years at Real Madrid, the Brazilian is still yet to feature in a single game for Los Blancos and is now all set to leave the club on a permanent basis.
According to Diario SPORT, Reinier is finally set for a move away from Santiago Bernabeu, with the player expected to join Atletico Mineiro.
It appears the playmaker is set to leave the club on a free transfer, which means Real Madrid have handed him a letter of freedom.
Reinier’s departure comes after a series of failed loan spells at various clubs, including Real Madrid, Frosinone, Girona and most recently, Granada.
