The Byron Nelson Classic continued at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas on Sunday with golf’s biggest names battling it out for their piece of a $9,900,000 purse.
The event included a furious comeback from Dallas, Texas native Jordan Spieth as he began playing some of his best golf when it mattered most.
Spieth found himself in a tie for 26th place heading into Saturday’s action and has since catapulted his way up toward the top of the leaderboard.
He thrilled onlookers with an impossibly perfect chip-in birdie on the 12th hole as the crowd went crazy in Texas.
“Chip-in magic for @JordanSpieth,” the PGA Tour X account wrote on Sunday.
“The Dallas native is T2 and has the round of the day at -7 thru 12,” the account added.

Spieth found himself in 3rd place through 14 holes as the event hurtled toward its inevitable finish.
Scottie Scheffler appeared a shoo-in for the championship at -27 through 7 holes with Erik van Rooyen in second place at -19 through 7 holes of play.
Spieth has never won the Byron Nelson Classic, which he previously competed in as an amateur, but he has made the cut on multiple occasions and showed off his skills in an exciting way as he did on Sunday.
