The Masters recently concluded, but there is no end to drama in the golf world. Recently, the Ryder Cup rankings for Team USA were revealed, and unfortunately Jordan Spieth and Brooks Koepka were on the dark side of them.

Spieth managed to bounce back at Augusta National after missing the cut last year. The three-time major winner was tied for 14th at the 2025 Masters. Meanwhile, his ex-PGA Tour colleague Koepka failed to make the cut. After an underwhelming weekend, more bad news awaited both golfers.

Kyle Porter of Normal Sport shared the list of U.S. Ryder Cup rankings five months ahead of the event. Scottie Scheffler led the list as Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa and Bryson DeChambeau followed. However, both Spieth and Koepka remained unranked.

The fans were quick to point this out. Before missing the cut at the Masters, Koepka’s best finish dated back to LIV Golf Singapore, where the 34-year-old finished as the runner-up. Spieth, 31, on the other hand, has five top-25 finishes on the PGA Tour. But despite the golfers’ current standing in their respective tours, they are well-respected Ryder Cup stars.

Spieth and Koepka have been Team USA teammates four times at the Ryder Cup, while winning the 2016 and 2021 editions together. They were even part of the American team during the previous edition in 2023, which Luke Donald-led Europe won convincingly. As the stakes get bigger for Team USA to reclaim the title, Spieth’s and Koepka’s expertise would be an added element.
