Jon Jones has reached an agreement which will dismiss the charges against him, charges stemming from an incident at his home with an anti-doping agent employed by the UFC, provided he takes anger management classes and stays out of trouble.

The charges of misdemeanor assault and interference with communications were leveled on Jones by a woman who worked for Drug Free Sport, the UFC’s anti-doping partners, said the current heavyweight champ was drunk, belligerent, took the woman’s cell phone, and said, “Do you know what happens to people who come to my home, they end up dead.”

Jones denied these charges and said that the agents were unprofessional, though he admitted to having alcohol and using profanity.

Now, however, Jones has agreed to four hours of anger management classes. With that and ninety days with no criminal behavior, he will avoid being charged entirely for the incendent.

Jones is scheduled to defend his heavyweight title next month at Madison Square Garden against Stipe Miocic, who has not competed in three years but is considered by many to be the greatest of his division, just as Jones is the consensus greatest light-heavyweight iin MMA history.
