Johnny Football might need a new nickname.
Or maybe not. Johnny Manziel made his MMA debut on Saturday night and dominated. But the former Cleveland Browns first-round pick isn’t convinced that he’s going to make a career out of fighting.
In fact, Manziel appears to have called it quits already.
After Saturday’s bout, he told reporters, “This was good enough for one time.”
The 33-year old Manziel was in the ring in Las Vegas on Saturday night against social media influencer Bob Menery, who is 38.
The fight was stopped in the first round, after two minutes and 16 seconds.
Manziel got a takedown and was delivering strong strikes before the referee stopped the match.

Manziel’s NFL career wasn’t long, but it lasted longer than his MMA career apparently will last.
He played two seasons in the NFL, then bounced around other football leagues to limited success.
Manziel has remained in the public eye in his post-playing career, in part because of a Netflix documentary, and also because he is happy to share how he feels on certain topics.
There were surely plenty of people with at least a bit of interest in how Manziel would perform on Saturday night, and while not fighting someone with as strong an athletic background as himself, Manziel did take care of business.
Now, apparently, he’s on to whatever comes next for Johnny Football.
