Ravens kicker Tyler Loop missed field goals of 58 and 51 yards in the preseason finale. He finished the preseason 5-of-8 as he tries to rebound from the 44-yard miss that ended the Ravens’ season in Week 17.
Baltimore kept Loop on the roster, but signed Jake Moody to the practice squad on Monday.

“I have a lot of confidence in Tyler still,” Jesse Minter said, via Jamison Hensley of ESPN. “He’s had a great training camp. I expect him to be our kicker going into [the Sept. 13 season opener in] Indianapolis.
“But you’re always trying to just have every scenario covered, and so that’s what we’re trying to do as a team.”
Loop, whom the Ravens drafted in 2025 to replace Justin Tucker, went 30-of-34 but was only 1-of-4 from 50 yards or longer. That was the second-worst rate in the NFL.
He remains with the Ravens — for now — but will have to hold off Moody for the job.
