Jason Kelce couldn’t stop laughing when he discovered that Irish golfer Shane Lowry once dressed up as his brother, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, for Halloween.
The moment happened during a lighthearted round of golf at the Truist Championship pro-am event at the Philadelphia Cricket Club.
While on the course, the former Philadelphia Eagles center and now ESPN analyst was shown a photo of Lowry dressed in full football gear—red socks, white shorts and a No. 87 Kansas City Chiefs jersey, just like Travis Kece. The photo had made waves online last October but flew under Jason’s radar until Wednesday.
“That’s so good,” Jason Kelce said, cracking up as he showed the picture to Lowry in person.
“Are you sure you’re not a Kelce?” with a smile, he joked.
Lowry, who initially looked a little shy about the costume, explained the reason behind it.
“My daughter is obsessed with Taylor Swift,” he said. “She was dressing up for Halloween, so I ordered the shirt online and then went down to Dick’s Sporting Goods and bought all the pads and all that.”
Jason Kelce immediately appreciated the effort and even complimented Lowry’s accuracy.
“The beard is pretty spot on,” he told the golfer.
The exchange between the two athletes became a social media hit after the PGA Tour posted the video on Instagram.
This unexpected moment came in the middle of a fun-filled day of golf, where Jason Kelce and Lowry were paired for nine holes. Their chemistry on the course was obvious, filled with friendly competition and constant banter.
